Hyrox® Madrid 2027 takes place from 17 to 21 March 2027. The race is confirmed on the official 26/27 season calendar, although the venue was to be confirmed when this guide was published: check the exact venue on the official Hyrox® Spain website before booking travel or accommodation. Here is what you will find, how to prepare and where to train the stations in the city.

What Hyrox® is

Hyrox® is a standardised event: 8 kilometres of running over eight 1 km legs, with a functional station between each leg. The course is identical at every venue, so you can train exactly what you will do on race day. The eight stations, in order: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls. You compete in singles, doubles or relay, and in the open or Pro division.

Date and venue

Madrid is one of the highest-demand venues in the country by population and by connections, so it is worth keeping an eye on when registration opens, because slots tend to sell out fast.

How to prepare

With 8 to 12 weeks of structured training you will arrive ready to complete your first event. As it is in March, you have plenty of time to plan your preparation over the winter. Work on three pillars at once:

You have the week-by-week plan in how to prepare for your first Hyrox®, specific sessions in Hyrox® station WODs and the kit in what clothing and shoes you need.

Where to train Hyrox® in Madrid

Not every gym has sleds, a SkiErg or sandbags. To train the stations with real equipment without taking out a membership, book a drop-in at boxes in Madrid that have it, paying by session only. Look for venues in the Hyrox® category or the CrossFit® category, filter by Madrid and check the equipment before booking. If you have never booked a one-off class, start with what a drop-in is and how it works.
